A little bit about me

My name is Ashley Rivera. I have loved children my whole life and I’ve been fortunate enough to get to spend lots of time working with them. For starters, I’ve been babysitting my three younger siblings since I was 10. Around age 15 I helped out in the child ministry classes at my church. I worked with ages 3,4, & 5. In high school I joined the Porter County Preschool Program where I worked with a preschool teacher everyday and took care of the kids. This experience was so liberating that after high school I got a job at Caring Heart Open arms Daycare where I was hired as the Head Three Year Old teacher. I create lesson plans, prepare activities, implement new learning strategies, maintain safety and health regulations, and I keep a positive, fun attitude.
