A little bit about me

Hi my name is Ashley Steckel and I am 29 years old. I went to school for Human Services and thoroughly enjoy helping others.

Though I don't have a ton of experience professionally with children, I have personally babysat and nannied for friends and family. I worked privately 7 years ago with an 18 month old little girl. Though I am currently not in contact with her family. I also worked last year at a daycare in New Oxford with children ages 1-3 years. This unfortunately was uprooted due to Covid.

I grew up in a family with multiple children and adults with special needs. As well as working in a group home in college.

I am comfortable in many different situations and am relatively flexible.

Though I do not have children of my own, I have cared for my 4 year old and 18 month old nephews very regularly. My 4 year old nephew is non-verbal and autistic. Though difficult at times, he has provided me with much happiness and many learning opportunities.
