More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 5+ years of experience in childcare, healthcare volunteer work, and customer service roles. As a private nanny and babysitter, I cared for children ages 2–10, supporting daily routines, meals, homework, and educational activities while ensuring a safe and engaging environment. I also communicated regularly with parents and developed strong skills in patience, responsibility, and multitasking.
In addition, I volunteered at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in both the prenatal unit and gift shop. In the prenatal unit, I assisted staff with non-medical tasks such as transporting patients, organizing paperwork, and restocking supplies. In the gift shop, I provided customer service, operated the cashier, managed inventory, and helped train new volunteers.
These roles helped me build strong communication, organization, teamwork, and caregiving skills, along with a reliable and compassionate work ethic.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing activities with children such as reading stories, arts and crafts, playing games, going outside for active play, and helping with learning activities. I like creating fun and engaging experiences that support both learning and creativity. Especially during the summer on hot days, I like to plan water-based activities such as sprinklers, water play, splash games, and other safe outdoor water activities to help children stay active and cool.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is making sure kids feel safe, cared for, and happy. I also enjoy making a positive impact on their life and creating memorable moments with the kids.
My experience with special needs children...
I have babysat children with autism while working as a nanny.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was seeing the kids I cared for get excited about learning new things and feeling proud of themselves. I really enjoyed the simple moments too, like playing games with them, helping them with activities, and watching them grow more confident over time. It meant a lot to build a bond with them and be someone they felt safe and happy around.

I’m interested in a nanny/babysitting position. I’ve been working with kids for about as long as I can remember. I’m also a gymnastics coach for the recreational program and work with many different ages. Working with kids teaches me how to love each moment and to be thankful each day.

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Beaverton, OR: Marissa R.
My name is Marissa and I've been working with children for the past 10 years! I have experience in working with multiple children as a Montessori Infant Teacher Lead and as a personal nanny as well. I've worked with a wide age range from 3 months to 9 years old. I believe in following the child's lead; whatever they're interested in is what will shape our daily activities, whether that's arts-and-crafts or racing monster trucks. Encouraging outdoor recreation is important to me, so I prioritize finding walkable and safe outdoor areas near the home. Local splash pads, parks, and libraries are some of my favorites places to bring the kids to.

Hi! I am the 3rd oldest from a family of 10 kids. I started babysitter around 13/14 years old. I was homeschooled for a few years where I worked as a Nanny for 2 family friends. Since then, while in highschool I nannied every summer for a family in Wyoming. Since graduating I got a job at Chick-Fil-A but I really miss the childcare used to do. I love kids and helping out.
