A little bit about me

Hello Families,

I am relocating from my home state of Arizona to the lush island of Hawaii. I am a seasoned nanny with a background in AMI Montessori.

During my time in a Montessori classroom, I thoroughly enjoyed the individualized learning experience & the curriculum. While in a classroom setting I worked in an infancy/toddler classroom, but most of my time was spent in Children's House (3-6). On occasion, I would sub in elementary classrooms. Working in a Montessori classroom has been one of the most knowledgeable experiences for my childcare experience. I absolutely fell in love with the Montessori philosophy & implement these teachings in my childcare.

As for privatized childcare, I have been a nanny/sitter for over 10 years. I continue to work with some of my families on an as-need basis. Finding the right family that values communication & relation is hugely important to me. A nanny should act as an extension of your family!

I love to explore the outdoors and look to enjoy many activities exploring and using our imaginations. Art and crafts, baking, hiking, outings, food preparation, games, and books are some of the many things I enjoy sharing.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe is holding space for a child to explore themselves, and their capabilities. Providing a safe and inviting space to let them share self-expression and independence is so valuable.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked in Montessori classrooms with children with special needs, we do not exclude them from the day-to-day activities any other student partakes in. As for privatized care, I have not worked as a nanny for a special needs child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

It's hard to pin, I have had wonderful experiences with each child. All of the children I have laughed and explored with, hold a special place and I thoroughly enjoy staying in touch with families.
