I am currently a substitute teacher looking for exciting opportunities, preferably outside of Florida! I have experience with grades K-12, including children with special needs. I have volunteered in churches to babysit children while the parents did mass, I did tutoring for elementary school children, and I babysat family friends’s children!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
There’s multiple things I love to do with kids! I like to talk to children about things, like their interests, how their day is going, and I like to “gossip” (for example, if I see a bunch of rabbits on the lawn, I’ll talk about a new bunny family moving in and being our neighbors!). I also indulge in playing fun educational games, for example, a game called “grocery store” in which I play customer and they play employee (this helps them learn about coin value). Reading together is also a plus!
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve substituted in classes containing special needs kids with at least two other teachers. My experience with special needs kids is preventing eloping, fixing my educational approach, and helping them with food and restroom needs.
