Hello families! My name is Ashlyn and I’m a responsible, understanding, and active caregiver who can provide you with a service you can be comfortable and satisfied with. I’m a college student at Virginia Tech. I have 5 years of experience with caring for children of all age groups (1-12) and 4 years of experience with in-home care. I have also worked as a tutor and an assistant teacher, so I can help with homework as well. I’ve cared for multiple families in the past, I’ve planned and executed age-appropriate activities for children including arts and crafts, playing in the park, and fun reading and writing activities. With all the families I’ve worked for, I’ve built amazing and long-lasting relationships with them! I have great time management and problem-solving skills, and I’m also empathetic and open-minded to different ways of doing things. I love caring for children and seeing them grow in all aspects of their lives!

I also have experience with working with kids in a classroom setting. I was a volunteer substitute teacher at a kindergarten for one year, so I’m able to effectively tutor children as well.
