I’ve babysat for my mom’s friends, taking care of a 4-year-old and an 8-year-old. I also watch my two younger sisters, ages 10 and 12, during the summer and school year. Ive also volunteered at the church in my hometown and been in charge of children during Youth Activities.

The most important part about being a nanny is keeping kids safe and making sure they feel cared for and happy. It’s also really important to be patient, responsible, and fun so the kids enjoy their time with you and trust you.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nannying moments was when I helped a little kid I was watching learn how to ride a bike for the first time. We spent the afternoon outside, and after a few tries, they finally got the hang of it and rode around with a huge smile. It felt awesome to see their confidence grow and to be part of that special moment!
