More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was lucky enough to work in a early childhood education center, where I was a co-lead teacher for children aged 2-3. I worked to ensure the safety and development of my students by implementing developmentally appropriate and engaging activities and experiences on a daily basis. Collaboration with families was also an incredibly important factor, in order to ensure strong communication surrounding their children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love prioritizing creative activities with children, where exploration and discovery is centered. Developmentally appropriate arts & crafts, outdoor play, and sensory exploration are all wonderful approaches!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Providing the children with effective, exciting, and comprehensive care that works to foster development, socio-emotional skills, and a foundation for their lives. It is also important to provide parents and caregivers with the knowledge and comfort that their children are well taken care of and supported on a daily basis.

My experience with special needs children...

I spent time working as a behavioral technician, where I focused on implementing individualized behavioral plans for young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). I provided in home, one-on-one therapy sessions that focused on fostering the development of socialization, communication, and daily living skills. Collaboration with families and caregivers was also an integral part of this role, in order to ensure therapeutic goals were centered on a daily basis.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment has to be asking my previous family if the children would be interested in being the flower girls in my upcoming wedding. I worked with the twin girls and their parents for 4 years, which cemented them as important people in my professional and personal life. The girls are so excited, and I am so proud to have them involved in my wedding!

Amiracle B. - Seeking Work in Chicago

Babysitter Available in Chicago, IL: Amiracle B.

I am 19 years old and passionate about working with children. I am child care certified and completed a two-year child care class in high school where I gained hands-on experience working with children ages 2-5. Through this program, I helped with activities, lesson plans, and fine motor skill development.
I also have personal experience caring for children with special needs through helping care for my nonverbal sister, who is now 19. I have assisted with seizures, bathing, changing clothes, and daily care, which has taught me patience, compassion, and responsibility.
Although this would be my first professional child care job, I have years of personal and educational experience. I genuinely love children and enjoy creating fun, hands-on activities that help them learn and grow. I Will care for your children with love, patience, and attention as if they were my own.

Stephanie I. - Seeking Work in Chicago

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Chicago, IL: Stephanie I.

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I would love to help out your family!
Previously I nannied for a family in Uptown for three and a half years, but they moved at the end of last year and I have been working temporary nanny jobs since then. I have over 15 years of childcare behind me. I babysat on my own for several years growing up, and for the past 10 years have been working for an agency in the city. I have experience in all ages, but infants and newborns are my favorite. I am a huge fan of gentle/authoritative parenting and believe a happy child comes from communication and treating your little one as human while still setting boundaries and guiding them in the right direction. My biggest goal is to keep your kid(s) happy, healthy, and having fun. I love going for walks, listening and dancing to music together, and chatting the day away with babies, all while maintaining a structured routine. Please reach out if you think we'd be a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you!
