As a member of Pi Beta Phi at the University of Alabama, I’ve had the rewarding opportunity to volunteer in local elementary schools through our philanthropy, which focuses on improving literacy rates. I’ve spent time reading one-on-one and in small groups with children, helping them build confidence and develop a love for reading. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with kids, be patient and encouraging, and create a supportive learning environment. It’s something I’m truly passionate about, and it’s shaped the way I approach babysitting and childcare.

When I’m babysitting, I love keeping kids active and engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities. I’m very outdoorsy and enjoy going on walks, playing outside, or even heading to the beach—if parents are comfortable with that. I believe fresh air and movement are great for kids, and I always make sure activities are safe and suited to their interests and energy levels. Whether we’re building sandcastles, playing games in the yard, or just going on a nature walk, I try to make every moment both fun and meaningful.
