relevant experience where i also cared for children includes helping take care of my younger siblings and my niece. from a young age, I’ve been trusted to help with everything from feeding and changing diapers to playing, helping with homework, and keeping them on a routine. these experiences have taught me a lot about patience, responsibility, and how to connect with kids on their level. its been a big part of what made me passionate about childcare and confident in my ability to support other families as a babysitter.

activities i enjoy doing with children include arts and crafts, reading storybooks, playing educational games, and spending time outside when the weather is nice. i love encouraging creativity and learning through play, whether it’s building with blocks, doing puzzles, or coming up with fun imaginary games. i always try to match activities to the child’s age and interests to keep things engaging and enjoyable for them.

the most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel loved, supported, and free to be themselves. it’s not just about watching kids, it’s about building trust with both the children and their families, being a positive role model, and helping kids grow emotionally, mentally, and physically. i believe consistency, patience, and genuine care go a long way in making a real difference in a child’s life.

i also have personal experience caring for my younger sister, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects her development, learning, and appetite. because of this, she follows a strict routine and a carefully managed diet, and she requires close supervision—especially around food. i’ve learned how important structure, patience, and gentle guidance are when caring for children with special needs. i’ve helped her with daily tasks, learning activities, and safe play, always making sure she feels supported and understood. this experience has taught me how to be extra attentive, nurturing, and adaptive to each child’s unique needs.
