I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment for children. Kids should feel comfortable, cared for, and encouraged to be themselves. To me, being a nanny isn’t just about watching children — it’s about building trust, setting a good example, and helping them learn and grow every day. Families count on me to be reliable and responsible, but also fun and nurturing, so their children feel happy and secure while in my care.

My experience with special needs children...

I also have personal experience caring for a child with special needs. My younger brother, Arlo, is deaf, and spending time with him has taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting to a child’s unique needs. Through caring for him, I’ve grown more understanding, flexible, and confident in supporting children who may require extra care and attention.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was seeing how proud a child felt after learning something new with my help. I had been practicing with them, encouraging them, and when they finally accomplished it, the big smile on their face made me so happy.
