Hello! My name is Autumn Downs. I have experience with all age groups from newborn up to 10 years old. I did student teaching in multiple grades at Lyman elementary in Gulfport, MS, as well as working in a nursery and in the toddler classrooms at 2 different daycares. I have also done a lot of babysitting, and I even homeschooled my little sister from 1st grade to 4th grade. I am looking for a regular babysitting job where I would be allowed to bring my 2-year-old with me. I am comfortable with nanny cams and would love to send picture updates throughout the day. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started babysitting at the age of 12 for my own parents and for their friends. I got my first job at a daycare at 18 years old and from then moved to working in a nursery at 19 years old. I had to quit working at the nursery due to moving states, and decided to work at another daycare in the toddler room after the move. I did student teaching in grades 1st-6th when I was in highschool, and I homeschooled my younger sister until she was in the 4th grade. I also was a nanny for a family in Tazewell, TN for awhile.

I enjoy singing songs with children, figuring out fun ways of teaching kids new things, and I absolutely adore watching kids hit milestones that I’ve been working with them on.

Bonding with the kids I’m working with is the most important part for me. I love watching them grow and learn things from me. Every child I’ve ever taught or worked as their nanny has a special place in my heart.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I worked in the nursery (ages 6weeks-6months), I got to work with kids on hitting their age appropriate milestones, and I’ll never forget when the first kid in the class started crawling. It was an amazing feeling.
