The most important part is trust, communication, and the safety of the kids. As a nanny, somebody else is trusting you with they kids, and you have to communication and have trust to let the parents know that you are doing everything you can to help and keep their children safe while they are in your care.

My favorite moment is when the kids start to trust me and will open up and tell me if they had a bad day or if they need to get something off their chest they are comfortable telling me that.
I finally got a kid that I use to babysit to tell me the extent of what living with his biological mom was like, and that was the turn around point for the respect and trust that was essential for me to do my job to my best ability. It made me feel special that he trusted me enough to be honest about that situation.
