Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I try to make sure children nowadays still get as much productive, creative, active playtime off screens because it is important for their brain development. My favorite activities I enjoy doing with children are listening/dancing to music, drawing/coloring (because it's fun to see what goes on in their little heads on paper), jumping on the trampoline if there is one, reading, praying, and of course playing with toys. Besides activities off screens, I always enjoy reconnecting with my inner child and watching fun movies the kids like with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
What matters to me the most about being a nanny is making a genuine connection with the kids and making sure they feel safe and comfortable with me. I would say I'm an emotionally intelligent person so it's highly important to me to make sure my kids feel like they can confide in me and feel understood/validated. :)
My experience with special needs children...
I've helped take care of my cousins with special needs since I was a child myself. I've developed lots of patience as well as being adapted to their ways of communicating their needs/emotions. I have multiple cousins in my family with autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I put my 2 and 3 year old to bed and they didn't want me to leave until they were both asleep. Every time I got up and said good night, the 3 year old would say "No leave, stay!". When her parents got home, she followed me out and said "Thank you Ava!" Her mom confirmed that meant she really likes me. :)
