A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Ava and I love caring for children! They are so full of energy and such a joy to be around!
I have been watching children for the past 4 years in the position of babysitters, nanny, school tutors, and coach. For 2+ years, I've primarily worked with infants and small children, but love kids of all ages.
Currently I am a sophomore at Centre College and a member of the women's golf team. Due to COVID-19 I am finishing my college career remotely.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Kindergarten / 1st grade tutor for at risk children, middle school tutor, golf coach, nanny and babysitter

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

having fun is a must for me! playing outside, going to parks, arts & crafts, reading, dance parties, and playing games of all kinds

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing to me is safety! Safety is my number one priority following by fun. If your child is safe and having fun I considered my job well done.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a kindergarten and first grade tutor for at risk children. During my time volunteering in the classroom I was able to provide children of all different backgrounds the joy of knowledge! There were many children in my learning group who had learning disabilities as well as physical disabilites allowing me to get hands on experience.

The most important part about being a nanny...

In my time as a nanny, there have many many moments I have been proud of but one thing I am particular proud of is teaching an autistic child the word "mommy". Seeing both the little boys face light up as well as the parents when he learned his first word meant everything to me.
