Hello! My name is Avery Fadel. I recently returned home from an LDS mission and am currently a student at BYU. I have always loved working with children, including running kids’ camps during the summers in high school and babysitting regularly over the years.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been babysitting and running kids camps for friends, neighbors, and family since I was 12. I have always loved being around kids. This love only grew on my mission when I had the opportunity to interact with so many different kids, all of whom I love so much!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending as much time outdoors as possible when the weather permits—whether that’s riding bikes, going on walks, playing with sidewalk chalk, or exploring parks. When we’re inside, I enjoy doing activities like reading, crafts, building games, imaginative play, and anything that keeps kids engaged and learning in a fun way.

I really prioritize making sure the time I spend with children is positive, intentional, and centered around their interests. I enjoy helping create experiences that are not only fun in the moment, but also help them learn, grow, and feel cared for.

My experience with special needs children...

As a senior in high school, I worked as a peer mentor for peers with special needs. I grew up with many friends who had siblings with special needs and was able to see what care for them looked like inside the household as well.
