More About Me

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
painting/drawings, bake, games, movienights, bike rides, ill set up challenges/obstacle courses they have to do/race eachother for a prize, keeps them active and having fun!, make crafts
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is understanding and patience. Being a nanny is a serious job as it requires new children getting used to you. You have to understand the rules, how one might be acting a certain way, and most importantly the children. You don’t want them to feel like they don’t know anything or aren’t capable of themselves. There’s a lot patience that goes into all of it as well. It may take a little bit for kids to warm up to you or to listen to you because your not there (parent) you need to make sure to stay on the right level to balance it all out and make the children happy!
My experience with special needs children...
i worked with speacial needs children in middle school as one of my classes and also as a coach I had some students with special needs and absolutely adore them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had a special needs girl who was the cutest girl! She had sensory issues, trouble socializing with some people and deaf in one ear. I had made us a little corner where we had our own little tea party. She put on her favorite dress and crown. I made it where she could invite whoever she wanted (imaginary friend) She invited a few of her friends and started to become less quiet starting to open up a little bit more having more fun it seemed. She then started telling me the name of a friend from school she had and wanted her to come over. I felt really good in that situation as I took the time to let her feel ready to feel comfortable and to want to bring her friend over as she’s never asked for a friend to come over before.
