I enjoy keeping kids active, helping the have fun outside, in addition to helping them feel connected to their emotions. I’ve also found that kids enjoy music wether we’re making it, listening, or talking about it. Some kids take to it very well and pursue an instrument.

My experience with special needs children...

I have minimal experience with younger special needs children however I have more experience with older child. I believe in the child not letting their disorder, handicap, etc. defining them and for them to set their own (reasonable) limits for our time together. I have worked with disabled to mentally handicapped and I see them all the same at children who need help to grow into an amazing adult.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When one of my kids had just recently turned 1 year old and they began picking up on sign language. She began saying strawberry.
