A little bit about me

Hey! My name is Azia (pronounced as "Asia"). I'm 20 years old, I attend online college at NOC in Stillwater majoring in Elementary Education. My current employment is being a full time nanny for a couple with three kids in Sand Springs, OK. I have been with this family for almost a year now and I do love the family I work for but I am in need of extra income. My family lives in Cushing so if I find a new position around that area I’d be willing to move back home or close to home. I've been around children of all ages due to working at a daycare for 2 years previously before becoming a nanny. I have my own vehicle, I am CPR/First Aid certified and I have had numerous trainings, I am not a smoker. I'm very organized, respectful, and reliable. I am very strong in my faith, and I'm active in church-I attend Victory Church in Tulsa. I was raised in a very beautiful, Godly home. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was employed at a local daycare center in Cushing, OK for 2 years. This is where I took numerous training courses and was involved in child development classes at NOC in Stillwater. While working there, I had experience in every age group so I’ve been around all ages.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to sing, read, run around, go crazy. I love to have random pajama days. I love to play dress up, do makeup, paint nails, do hair. I love to do all kinds of crafts and art. I love making forts throughout the house mainly down hallways haha! I definitely love to do anything outside. I basically love to do anything the kid(s) want to do!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love knowing that children feel safe around me and who actually never want me to leave at the end of the day when mom/dad are back home from work. It’s a precious feeling to have when children know they can count on Ms. Azia for anything. Another important part about this type of job is having a close, family-style connection with the parent(s) in the family. I’m very close with the couple I work for right now and I have been since day one. They’re very laid-back and so welcoming, they love quality time so there’s been plenty of days where I’ve stayed for dinner to hang out with the whole family and I just love that! I feel a part of the family and that’s what I cherish the most!

The most important part about being a nanny...

With the family I work for right now, one of my duties as their nanny is dropping off and picking up their oldest from school. So the oldest and the middle child (5 & 3 years old) love to listen to their music in my car. I have Bluetooth in my car so I’ve downloaded all kinds of Disney movie soundtracks and every single time we are all in the car they get to listen to whatever they request. It makes my heart happy knowing they take pride in having the opportunity to “control” something. Kids of course don’t like to be bossed around at all so this simple act of allowing them to control what music is played in the car absolutely brightens their day and I can’t help but be happy to see their smiles!
