Then I moved to Portland and worked as a Lead Teacher at the YMCA for two years. Designing and leading a program of 20-25 kids. Through the two years I gained a lot of experience in trauma-informed care and socio-emotional learning techniques. How to help kids regulate their emotions and connect to learning material or each other.
