I love playing sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, and softball. I love swimming and love going to the pool in the summer. Because of my experience as a camp counselor, I have a lot of experience playing games and I have so many fun games I could pull out of my pocket. I also love to just hangout with the kids that I have cared for and get to know them better.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I live making a difference in childrens lives. When I was younger, I had bad ADHD and I did not know how to deal with it and manage it. Many adults in my life wrote me off as rambunctious and a trouble maker. Because of those experiences, I have learned so much about how I would have wanted to be treated as a kid and I hope to make a childs life better by seeing them for who they truly are.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had children with ASD in my groups as a counselor before. In those settings, it is difficult to give them the one on one attention that they need, but I try my best and by the end of the week, they come out of their shell a bit.
