The most important part about being a nanny is prioritizing the parent's and child's wants and needs at the front of it all. This is a selfless role and it is crucial to make sure that the family is being respected for what they may want. But also to have fun!

As a behavioral technician, I worked with a child who had autism and I utilized ABA therapy techniques that I was trained in to work towards goals with the child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was when the child I cared for asked me when I was coming back to play with her after a day we had together. We had a filled day with playing in the pool, swinging on the swings in the backyard, building forts, and playing with her toys. I could tell at that moment that she cared for me to come back and truly enjoyed the time I was there. That is when I knew I made such a difference in a child's life from just a simple day! It makes me happy to know children find such joy in these little moments.
