A little bit about me

Hi! I'm a 25 year old who has grown up with a big family, and I’m brand new to the area! I love kids and animals and have grown up with them my whole life, and I studied people management and child psychology in school so I am well equipped to listen to and help your children grow, however they need! I am very good at remembering dates and addresses, am very organized, and I don't mind helping out with cooking or cleaning if needed. I live in Carrollwood at the moment, and I do have a car and a driver's license, as well as insurance that covers me with any car that I drive! I love to bake, go for walks and outdoor adventures, draw, read, write, and be creative in whatever ways your child is interested by, and I think I would be a great part-time addition to any family in need :)

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have taught a few summer camp classes for kids where they were able to exercise creative thinking as well as problem solve and be hands on with making things! I’ve also managed a few shows with high school aged children, and I am working towards getting to work more and more in a teaching-artist capacity in both visual and performing arts :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The most important part about being a nanny...

is to be a safe space for a child to trust you to experiment with who they are and know you will support them and help them understand how the world works when their parents are at work. It is never my job to replace a parent, only to act like an older cousin or sibling and be as supportive as possible.

My experience with special needs children...

one of my best friend's growing up had a sister with down syndrome who was non-verbal, and I used to help take care of her. I am willing to learn sign language or however they need to communicate with an adjustment period with a parent/guardian present until I am able to understand their needs on my own - my biggest priority is the child's comfort and needs being met, and abiding by the parents' guidelines to make that happen.
