A little bit about me

Hi my name is Bella! I am 23 and live in North Canton, OH. I have 9+ years of experience helping to care for children and manage busy households.

I have been providing childcare consistently throughout my summers in High School and College. I was with my previous family for about a year, so I would love to find another family looking for something longer term.

During the Covid pandemic I also provided help with tutoring elementary students. I have been around all ages and am willing to help out around the house or with errands. I would consider myself a pretty flexible and creative person, which I find is great for working with children- but, I would say that I really do love a very clean and organized house... particularly clear countertops!! I am very comfortable around pets too!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was involved in peer-mentoring groups and tutoring clubs throughout my grade and high school years. During the pandemic, I helped out with online classes for elementary school aged children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy being outside, playing games, arts and crafts, going on walks, etc. If the family is comfortable, I also am a big proponent of taking the kids on outings like museums, parks, store errands, cafes, etc..

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being dependable and consistent for both the family and children. I pride myself on being someone who the children want to be around or hang out with, even when they're away from their parents. Creating an environment where the kids can see me as a calm, trusted, and safe adult is very important to me! It helps make my job easier, but also the parents, because there is trust that the house and kids will be taken care of just the same as you care for them!

My experience with special needs children...

I have a brother who is diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, so I have grown up around children with special needs.

One of my recent families had a child on the spectrum, so I'm very comfortable around and caring for children that have slightly different needs! Every child is different and I am more than willing to work with each family to try to figure out what is best when caring for their child! I've worked with non-verbal children too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love taking the kids to the zoo or a museum and watching them enjoy the fun day trip! I also love to be creative and do fun art and science projects with them.
