More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in church nurseries, day camps for multiple organizations, previously student taught in a preschool, and am currently student teaching in a third grade IB Certified school.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do art projects, play board games, and generally enjoy running around with children outside.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny to me is ensuring everyone's safety (the child/children, myself, and others in the area (neighbors, pets, etc.)). I believe this can be done in many ways with children depending on the age, through forms of role-play, conversations, etc..
My experience with special needs children...
I currently work with special needs adults in college. I accompany them to their classes and provide support in accommodations, conversations, and areas of dangerous behavior to themselves. Over the summer I also worked with a child that has Autism who was entering kindergarten. He was an eloper, so my co-workers and I had to get familiar with keeping an incredibly close eye on him, as well as the other kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I had taken care of a young child for several days in a row, and after the last day when I had to leave, he asked his mom when I was coming back because he wanted to play more.
