My experience with special needs children...
I have a sister with Aspergers who my parents adopted when I was 15 I lived in the house for the first 4 years of her life.
I worked 1 year as a special needs teacher’s assistant.
We adopted a little boy at he age of 3 he was diagnosed with ADHD and traits of other conditions. They thought they could have been learned traits since he was raised by someone on the spectrum for the first 3: years of life. Now he is 13 and we believe he is on the autism spectrum.
