A little bit about me

I'm a Child Development professional with experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), respite care, and expanded learning programs. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, am CPR/First Aid and PRO-ACT certified, and have a California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit.

I currently work as an Expanded Learning Site Lead with Ramona Unified School District, where I coordinate after-school programs for students in grades TK–6. I enjoy creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun. Whether it's helping with homework, planning STEM and arts & crafts activities, supporting social-emotional development, or simply playing games together, I strive to build meaningful relationships with every child while giving parents peace of mind that their children are in caring, dependable hands.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My relevant childcare experience includes working as a Respite Worker for children with disabilities, where I provided one-on-one care, assisted with daily routines, encouraged social and developmental skills, and created a safe and supportive environment. I also currently work as an Expanded Learning Site Lead in an after-school program, supervising and engaging children in grades TK–6. My responsibilities include helping with homework, planning educational and recreational activities, supporting social-emotional development, ensuring children's safety, communicating with families, and creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy helping children with homework, watching movies together, playing video games and board games, reading books, doing arts and crafts, and spending time outdoors. I love planning fun, engaging activities that are developmentally appropriate for each stage of child development, including STEM projects, social-emotional learning (SEL) activities, sensory play, creative arts, science experiments, and educational games. I also enjoy baking simple recipes, building with LEGO, imaginative play, music and dancing, scavenger hunts, and encouraging children's creativity, curiosity, and confidence through play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and trusting environment where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. I believe a nanny should build positive relationships with both the children and their families, communicate openly with parents, and provide care that supports each child's individual needs and development. My goal is not only to keep children safe, but also to help them learn, grow, build confidence, and create happy memories every day.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with a variety of developmental and behavioral needs through my roles as a Respite Worker and in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). I have supported children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, and other disabilities by implementing behavior support strategies, encouraging communication and social skills, assisting with daily routines, and creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and adapting activities to meet each child's unique strengths and needs.
