Some of my favorite activities include reading books, arts and crafts, outdoor play, walks to the park, music and dancing, sensory activities, imaginative play, puzzles, and educational games. With infants and toddlers, I enjoy activities that support developmental milestones, such as tummy time, language development, fine motor skills, and sensory exploration. I also speak Spanish fluently and enjoy incorporating it naturally into daily routines to help children learn a second language through conversation, songs, and play. I strive to create a positive, nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and build confidence while having fun.

The most important part about being a nanny is building trust. Parents are entrusting me with what matters most to them, and that requires consistency, honesty, and genuine care in everything I do. It means showing up not only physically, but emotionally—being present, attentive, and responsive to a child’s needs while also respecting the parents’ values and routines. It also means creating a safe, loving, and stable environment where children feel secure enough to grow, explore, and express themselves freely. To me, being a nanny is not just about childcare—it’s about becoming a reliable extension of the family and someone they can truly depend on, with warmth and care at the center of it all.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The obvious answer would be to share a moment about a child reaching a milestone and feeling proud knowing I contributed to their growth and development—and those moments are truly special and never lost on me. But my favorite nanny moments are something quieter, and in many ways, even more meaningful. I love seeing a mother’s guilt slowly melt away. Many moms carry a deep sense of worry or guilt when leaving their child, especially with a new caregiver, but there’s a shift that happens when they realize their child is safe, happy, and well cared for. Watching them begin to relax, trust the process, and feel confident in their decision is incredibly meaningful to me. It reassures me that I’m not only caring for the child, but also supporting the family as a whole. 💕
