hi! My name is Betsy Torres, short for Betsabe. I’m an 18 year old entering my freshman year in college entering as biology (pre-health) to then later become a pediatric oncology nurse. I have been raised in a christian loving household with two parents and one brother. I was also put into a christian private school called Timothy christian school since kindergarten and then later to immaculata highschool my senior year. I always had passion for kids and love taking care of them and that is also why i chose nursing as a career. I’m a reliable responsible person who has a license and their own car. I also am CPR certified from my school and will ensure your child’s safety, well being, and happiness while you’re gone. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I go to church on sunday’s and help with the sunday kid classes. i help take care of them ( read books, play with them, help them make friends, and be respectful towards eachother ) i also am the one making the snacks for the kids for snack time. i help with the kids started from pre school till 3rd grade. i also have voluntered in my town north plainfield public library in the kids section where i am an assistant for kids and helped them with crafts and made conversations so that they can feel welcome. I also was a TA my whole junior year where i was a ta for second grade teacher where i helped the teacher with the kids with work, questions with assignments, and made sure they were fine like bringing them to the bathroom if needed. I’m always around my 4 year old niece who i always take care of and my 9 year old nephew with autism. I adore being around them and always take great care of them.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

i love playing with them with their toys and listening to how to play and make sure they know they have my 100% attention. i also adore drawing or doing art with them since i a very artistic person. I like watching movies or tv shows with them while eating snacks. I enjoy reading books to them also just interacting with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is to have a real passion to be a nanny and know that you enjoy doing it. I take part of enjoying and having the blessing to have a big heart to take care of kids but i also do importantly know there is also safety that comes with that. I am full aware responsibility comes in with being a nanny and true commitment.

My experience with special needs children...

i do babysit occasionally my 9 year old nephew who is special needs. I have babysit him for 3 years and i have learned ways and adapted to the things that will satisfy him. I’m beyond aware to how to handle situations and how to properly comfort him
