A little bit about me

Hello everyone.

I am a Tampa native, and I thoroughly enjoy caring for children. I was raised taking care of kids of all ages, as my mom ran an in-home daycare for 25 years and I worked there as a teenager and adult. I was a nanny for a few families from [phone number hidden], and then I started a new professional career in corporate America as a Retirement Plan Administrator, in the financial industry. I have become completely burnt out and have made the choice to go back to doing the things that I love the most, and the one at the top of my list is caring for children. I have a daughter of my own who is now 22 years old(unbelievable) and is finishing up college and is out in the world on her own. I am so proud of the woman she has become and she is my biggest and greatest blessing in this life.

I am signed up to get recertified in CPR and First Aid very soon.

I worked for an in-home daycare for 10 years in my teens and 20's. I have experience caring for children of all ages. I was also a nanny for a few families from [phone number hidden].

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking them to the park, to the library for reading groups, I've taken them to dance class, and sport groups(I love watching them do the activities the enjoy). I am willing to do just about anything with the kids whether it's inside or outside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being a positive, loving person for the child while their parents are not able to be around, whether it is for work, or any other activity that parents need to do at times. Letting the child(ren) know that I care for them and they can trust me, and also HAVING FUN is the best part. I love playing and being silly with them. I love seeing them laugh and smile.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with autistic children when I was an aid in the classroom and school bus for Hillsborough County Schools.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Growing close to the children that I care for as well as their family. I love making the kids laugh, and just having a good time with them.
