Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked as a preschool teacher for 3 years in and out of all different age groups where I then switched to administration where I would help different classrooms with lesson plans, helping teachers who were overwhelmed, and overall being a big helping hand over the entire school. I have subbed as well and am on my way to getting my elementary education degree! I would love to bring my knowledge into your home and watch your child grow! :)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love all things inside and outside! It warms my heart seeing children playing and having a blast, especially if I can be a part of it. My top favorite thing is when I see their little light bulb go off after I’ve been working with them on something specific and they can carry that with them the rest of their lives.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is making sure the child receives with the family is asking!!! I cannot express this enough; so many of my friends nanny and will complain about how the parents are expecting so much and this isn’t just a little daycare babysitting job. This is a nanny, you are in their home and they are paying you one on one to help their child. Always always always give that family what it is they are needing.
My experience with special needs children...
Working in preschools you see a lot of children who need just a little extra help and it made me so happy that I could be apart of that. Along with taking classes within my major that do include teaching children with these needs, it’s so amazing to be able to bring that into a school building and really watch it be brought to life.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment has to forsure be where I felt apart of the family. The last family I nannied for will forever be a lifelong friend and the way their child called me “B” will be something I hold in my heart always. 🫶🏻
