For me it’s safety. Safe from the obvious dangers and safe where they can truly be themselves around me, however they feel the need to express themselves. I aim to provide a loving and comfortable environment where happiness is the main priority!
My experience with special needs children...
In large groups I’ve always had at least 1 or 2 special needs children. I find that paying attention to how they talk, what they like/don’t like, anything that would help communication be easy for both of us to understand.
