The most important part about being a nanny, in my opinion, is building trust with both the kids and their parents. As a 16-year-old, I know I’m still learning, but I’ve found that when kids feel safe and comfortable with you, everything else, like following rules, learning new things, or even just having fun comes naturally. It’s not just about watching them, it’s about being someone they can rely on, talk to, and laugh with.

Being a nanny also means being responsible, even when it’s not easy. You have to stay calm in tough situations, be patient when they’re having a hard day, and always be thinking one step ahead to keep them safe and happy. It’s kind of like being a mix of a big sister, a teacher, and a friend.
