More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I worked one summer as a children's summer program director in my hometown. I was in charge of planning daily activities as well as directly caring for up to fifteen children at one time. I also was a live-in nanny in The Hamptons, NY last summer where I fully cared for two little boys (4 and 7) while their parents were at work or out of town.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to make crafts, read books, listen to music and dance/sing, play hide and seek or anything that will keep your kids entertained! I love to swim, play outside, ride bikes or draw with sidewalk chalk with the kids I am caring for. It is also important to me that your children have fun without just sitting them in front of the TV for entertainment the whole time I am there :)

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with Down's syndrome as well as children with Autism and Asperger's.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was leaving for college and saying goodbye to my sweet nanny family I had been with for several years, the oldest daughter asked me if I would be her nanny forever (even when she got married). Of course I laughed, but it was also such a bittersweet moment to say goodbye to these sweet kids I had watched grow up over the three years I was with them!
