I have 10+ years of childcare experience, 6 of them being paid. I have worked with children as young as three months, and as old as 13 years olds. I volunteer and work part time at A House In Austin on Thursday mornings. I am currently enrolled in college, taking my prerequisites before applying for nursing school in the fall, with hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse.
I have worked with children from a variety of backgrounds. My definition of childcare is meeting a child where they are, and working to provide them a safe environment to grow.
I have personal experience in handling food allergies and EpiPens.
I enjoy arts & crafts, baking/cooking, spending time outdoors, walking, storytime, and science projects.
My favorite question from a child is “why”! My approach to childcare is based in education, my focus on all activities is its educational value, as I work with children to learn through play. I am most comfortable with the gentle parenting approach.
