The most important part of being a nanny is creating a relationship built on trust, safety, and genuine care. I want children to feel comfortable being themselves while knowing they have someone who will listen, encourage them, and support them. I also believe in keeping parents informed and working together as a team, because when a child feels secure and supported, they have the confidence to learn, grow, and thrive.

I have over 10 years of experience providing childcare and supporting children’s daily needs, routines, safety, and development. I recently began working as a Special Needs Assistant in an elementary school, where I provide individualized support to students with diverse learning, behavioral, communication, and developmental needs. I assist students with classroom activities, transitions, social interactions, personal care when needed, and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. My childcare background has helped me develop patience, flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships with children while respecting each child’s individual abilities and needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a child I cared for become more confident and independent over time. At first, they needed a lot of reassurance with everyday routines and new experiences. I made it a priority to be patient, encouraging, and consistent, celebrating the little victories along the way. One day, they completed something independently that they had previously needed help with, then looked at me with the biggest smile. It was such a small moment, but it reminded me why I love caring for children—the trust you build and getting to be part of those little milestones is incredibly special to me.
