My 7+ years of experience in healthcare have given me the opportunity to care for patients of all ages, including newborns, infants, toddlers, and older children. I’ve also gained hands-on childcare experience through raising my own children. These experiences have taught me patience, adaptability, compassion, and the importance of understanding that every child has different needs. I’m comfortable with infant care, feeding, diaper changes, sleep routines, developmental milestones, and creating a safe, nurturing environment for little ones to grow and thrive.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing activities that encourage children to explore, learn, and use their imagination! Some of my favorites are reading books, arts and crafts, coloring, sensory play, music and dancing, building blocks, puzzles, and age-appropriate educational games. I also love spending time outdoors, going on little nature adventures, playing at the park, and enjoying fresh air whenever possible. With babies and younger children, I enjoy tummy time, singing, interactive play, reading, and activities that help encourage their developmental milestones. I really believe learning should be fun, and I love finding little ways to make everyday moments meaningful!
My experience with special needs children...
I have personal and hands-on experience caring for children with different behavioral, developmental, and sensory needs. I’m familiar with challenges that can come with ADHD, sensory processing differences, emotional regulation, and anxiety. I believe every child deserves patience, understanding, consistency, and the opportunity to feel safe and accepted. I try to meet children where they are, learn what works best for them, and adjust my approach to their individual needs. I’m a big believer in gentle guidance, positive reinforcement, routines, and trauma-informed care. Most importantly, I want every child I care for to feel loved, understood, supported, and never judged for being different.
