Hi! I’m Brie I’m a very positive&patient mom. At age 11 I started taking care of my sibling 50 hours a week.At 12 I had my first paying nanny job caring a boy with autism who was told he could never work or be independent his entire life from age 2-9 I watched him every weekends, summers 6 days a week after years of many activities I was able to inspired him to play piano he is now a professional piano player, in a book written about him I’m credited for his career.I am not special or perfect but I believe in giving children emotional attention, by listening to them being patient never giving up and respecting them. I feel kids aren’t heard enough.I also can watch your child from my home, I live in a new 24/7 doorman condo living-room is set up like a daycare/classroom child safe clean has every educational supplies a pre-K class does or more&any toys You can think of for ages 0-6 I have a nanny cam that the parents can have access to. That is just an option. My condo is empty 8am-5pm

Was a weekend a d summertime nanny for 7 years for a child with autism and inspired, introduced and taught him a skill he has a career in doing today after being told by many professionals he would never be able to have or keep a job in his life. Worked in a daycare for a few years and volunteered at the boys and girls club. Also raising my 6 year old son who is the most considerate, confident respectful person I have ever known, giving him my full emotional attention being patient and allowing him express himself has made him a son that is not afraid to share anything with me without fear of getting in trouble and knowing his worth respecting himself and others.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts, baby exercise, playing with water table and sand table, abc mouse on my iPad or laptop, at least 30 minutes a day of learning one on one without technology, daily walks for fresh air, trips to the park kids play museum Or zoo.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny for me is providing care in all aspects of a child’s life, from wring for them physically keeping them safe to caring for them mentally building a caretaker bond where we can communicate I can inspire a child to be excited for daily routines learning playing ect. And always reassuring them that they are able to achieve and learn anything they enjoy doing. Gifting them with confidence by being patient reassuring and not giving up on them.

My experience with special needs children...

Worked with autistic kids, abused teens at the boys and girls club and cared for a physically disabled 8 year old for 2 years who could not walk.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Having to dress up as a superhero matching my child everyday at the park, it was absolutely adorable other parents at the park had a laugh each time! Most of not all of the little girls I babysat or just daughters of friends my goddaughter ALWAYS do my makeup! The aftermath of glitter and colors not coming off are just plain Hilarious but not as funny as when I wear it out in public with them because I know they would think they dint do a good job. The funniest moment of them all was when I went to prospect park in Spider-Mana male zip up pajama Onesie To match the boy I was watching and an Elsa Plastic costume wig to match his sister which kept coming off the wig not the Spider-Man Onesie. Thank God I live in New York and nothing looks strange it’s fashion ha ha
