The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I was helping a little girl get ready for her first day of kindergarten. She was super nervous and didn’t want to let go of her mom, so I made a special “bravery bracelet” out of beads with her the night before. I told her that whenever she felt scared, she could look at it and remember how strong and smart she was. The next day, she walked in holding her bracelet tight, turned around and gave me a big thumbs up. It was such a small thing, but it meant a lot to see her feel confident and supported.
