Hello and thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I am a career nanny with 15 years of childcare experience. I enjoy reading, crafting, and being outside with my lab Waffle.
My career began as a teen volunteer for my local nursery. I earned my bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. My degree provided me with a solid understanding of childhood development and communication. Prior to moving to Colorado, I worked for my local school system, providing speech-language therapy for 3 years. While earning my degree and since moving to CO, I have been employed as a Nanny Manager. This career allows me to use the knowledge I gained from my degree to support children as they develop and discover the world around them (and there's less paperwork too). As a professional nanny, I do request legal pay through a payroll service, guaranteed hours, and over-time pay for 40+ hours. PTO, sick days, and holidays are also appreciated. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

While earning my degree, I had the pleasure to work as a full-time nanny for two boys. From 2016 to 2019, I worked for Marion County Schools as a speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) providing speech and language services to students. During high school and college, I was a nursery attendant and preschool teacher. I love the ability to nurture growth and development through reading, imaginative play, and outdoor activities. In 2019, I relocated to Colorado, where I was employed as a Nanny Manager for two children, one infant and one toddler. My duties included care and supervision for both boys, meal preparation, and household chores. I was also responsible for transportation to and from school, as well as, recreational activities. During Covid-19, I temporarily returned home to Florida to be with my family. While here, I have worked as a nanny/virtual school educator with two children. I am now settled in Colorado and would love to speak with you about new opportunities!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy hands-on activities and crafts that provide a fun and exciting way to learn new skills. Trips to the park, picnics, and exploring outside are all great ways to nurture curiosity and creativity as well. I am a huge advocate for literacy and try to make every story time an exciting, new adventure. On bad weather days, I love going to the science museum, children's museum, or finding a new story time.
