A little bit about me

Hi families, I was born and raised in Peoria. I have over 25 years of childcare experience, and I have been a full time nanny and household manager for the last 18 years. I have worked all over the country for several families - caring for children ages ranging from newborn up to 13 years.

Now that I have a daughter of my own, my husband and I have relocated to raise her back where we grew up. Since she was born, I have taken her to my nanny jobs with me. All of them have been great fit for both families and socially & developmentally beneficial for the kids.

We spend our days doing arts and crafts, playing games and doing puzzles, singing and dancing to Disney radio, and exploring all this city has to offer - tumbling classes, the zoo, Playhouse, Wildlife Prairie Park, story times, and several parks.

I am available for a temporary, summer, or long term position.

I started babysitting over 20 years ago, I have been a full-time nanny for 18 years years, and I also spent three months working in a daycare.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Crafts, playing games, singing and dancing, going to the zoo, finding new parks to visit, story time at the library, celebrating holidays with themed activities, and staying active. I limit screen time, and I like to keep busy during the day with fun activities!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The first few years of a child’s development are so important. I want other parents to know that they can rely on me during those times. It can be hard to find someone you trust with your children, and I have been that person for several families. I keep in touch with almost all of the families I have worked for. Even if it was for a brief time, I connected with the children and their parents, and became a part of their family.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Taking the two girls I nannied for in California for a drive through Christmas lights. We packed hot chocolate in thermoses and brought candy canes. Seeing the joy in their eyes made me cry! This became a tradition for us for several years.
