A little bit about me

My name is Brittley Schmidt! I am from Elizabeth, Colorado and am studying at BYU Idaho right now. My major is child development and am in my junior year! I served a Spanish speaking mission for my church and have worked with kids as a nanny, babysitter, camp counselor, horseback riding instructor, and an older sister. I have 5 siblings and have been around kids my entire life. I have worked with many different kids and have experience with kids who were gluten free to being on the spectrum. I enjoy playing lots of sports, hiking and being outside, playing board games, doing photography, and being with my family! I also think it is important to leave a house clean and better than I found it. I also am willing to organize and clean out areas/projects if needed! My price range is currently $20.00, but am willing to negotiate price!

She was amazing driving my 4 kids around…handling multiple things simultaneously keeping our schedule and household running. We were so sad to lose her when she went back to college. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

This past year I worked as a camp counselor at a diabetes camp in Hawaii, and had the opportunity to be over a group of 11-12 year old girls. There were 12 of them and I had the best time being outside and teaching them how to be self reliant for their diabetes! I also was a horseback riding teacher for a girl who was 10 years old, we would go out each week and I would show her how to ride horses. She would tell me all about her life and her love of horses and we had some unforgettable moments!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Being outside, playing sports, doing crafts, coloring/ drawing, dancing, dramatic play (dress up, adventures, etc.), card games, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being a nanny because I can connect with children and create strong relationships with them. I believe that children should have the freedom to be a child and play and learn in ways that are developmentally appropriate. Life gets busy and children get caught up in sports and schedules, and I want to always make sure that they are having moments where they can just be themselves and have fun, while also understanding the importance of learning life skills.
