Growing up as a young child in a home daycare setting, I was constantly learning and wanting to help take care of the other children and babies until my teenage years.

I love playing games that range from peek-a-boo, hide-and-seek, and board games.

The most important part about being a nanny...

At my daycare, when all the children in the school were in the joint play space together, I made up a game to keep them occupied. I pretending to pull big TVs out of my pockets and put them up on the wall one at a time and asked the children what shoes they wanted on each. Then we all sat in front of the pretend TVs and talked about the “shows” we were watching. It was so fun to see how their imaginations took hold and sitting their asking them questions and having them tell me things they were “watching” was so rewarding and heart-filling.
