A little bit about me

Hi,
I go to school at Cal State. I have two sisters (all girls), you can imagine how spoiled my dad is!
Growing up I have always had a love for helping kids. I think this passion derived from having a special needs sister. My family and I have been through many ups and downs with her and so at a very young age I made it a mission to stay out of trouble because I knew my parents already had enough on their plate. I believe that my sister is a blessing to us and growing up like this has given me a different perspective in life and helped me mature much faster than most people my age.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

At home! I've babysat for about 4-5 families in the area of Livermore! I stopped babysitting recently because I started school, found a new job and had other things going on.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It truly depends on the age. I like getting to know my kids first and learning what they like. I love watching movies, singing, dancing, reading books, playing with toys and swimming.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with autistic kids. This truly got me so attached to all my kids. I took care of four, (always one-to-one) from 9-5PM. I would give them therapy, and practice vocal imitation because a lot of them were learning how to talk. I would also change diapers, feed them, and put them down for naps. It's crazy how well you get to know your kids - personalities and what they love. I left this job because I got a better opportunity. Leaving was hard because you truly get attached to them and love them as your own. I can't imagine what it will be like to have my own one day!
