The most important part about being a nanny...
To interact with the children. create that bond so that they know you’re a trustworthy person and to have a fun time with them! being positive is important in a child’s early stages.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not had any special needs children caretaking experience
The most important part about being a nanny...
Although it’s not a nanny moment my favorite moment when caring for a child was when I was working at a summer daycare. The child was getting upset because he didn’t want to share his crayons but there was only one box so of course he had to share. The teacher was telling him he wasn’t going to be allowed to color if he didn’t share so he got sad and just shut down. I then asked the teacher for permission if I could take him on a walk so I could help him down and maybe calm him down. I talked to him about how sharing is important and that they will also share with you so you aren’t the only one doing the sharing. We talked about random stuff and laughed and I was happy I was able to uplift his mood. When we went back to the classroom he was all smiles again and sharing.

Part-Time Nanny Available in Bel Aire, KS: Ella W.
Hi! My name is Ella Wellman, and I'm a 21-year-old currently living in Wichita. I am a recent graduate from K-State, and I'm currently attending WSU's masters program to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. I love spending time with kids, and I've spent most of my life taking care of the children in my family. Professionally, I have nannied an 8-year-old boy, and I have learned a lot about child development in classes, as SLPs work with kids all the time. I am punctual, a hard worker, and I love having fun! I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Bel Aire, KS: Maybelle L.
My name is Maybelle Logan. Growing up my job as a big sister was to care for my siblings while my immigrant mom would work to provide for us. I have been babysitting children ever since I was in high school all the way until now. I am looking to help out any family I can to help them care for their children. I know how to cook kid-friendly meals, I love engaging with children to keep them entertained, I also tutor and help out with homework. Maintaining a safe and clean environment for my kids that I babysit is my number one priority. I would absolutely love to get to know the family and keep a long term relationship.
