The most important part about being a nanny is making sure that the kids feel safe, stimulated, and loved. There is a tough balance between being in charge of children and wanting to just be their friends, but this is an important distinction to understand. If you establish a relationship and clear boundaries with a child, they will feel safe and taken care of.

My favorite nanny moment is when I was on my last day of taking care of all my kids, they made me a bunch of thank you cards and drawings that I will keep forever! It is always so sweet to see the impact you have made on kids and know that they cherish you as much as you cherish them.
