A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Brooke Oldroyd. I live Logan and hoping to start hair school soon! I've nannied before and I had the best experience and would love do be able to do it again. I love working with kids. I have two autistic siblings so I would say I'm fairly experienced with special need kids and have no problem working with them.

I love the outdoors and if there is a body of water I'm all over it. I thoroughly enjoy baking and would consider it one of my hobbies (however my skills are definitely a work in progress).

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I got to nanny for a beautiful family. They had two boys, ages 9 and 11, and my main job was just making sure the boys got to school on time all dressed and ready for the day. Afterwards I would do some house work until I had to go get the boys from school. Once I brought them home it was just a matter of finding engaging activities for them to do until their mother came home.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Playing outside is always the best and I always had so much fun.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part is being a good example to the kids while also being someone they grow to love.

My experience with special needs children...

I have two siblings who are both autistic. While I understand having siblings is different than nannying for children, the skills and patience i have acquired though this experience has taught me a lot.

And with my first nanny job the 9 year old boy had ADHD so I had to cater to that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There was one time when I got to bake with my kids and it was the first time they ever were allowed to help and it was such a core memory for all of us.
