I also have experience watching newborns which stayed with me til little brother arrived, and their Mom decided to stay at home.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Staying active, playing outside, using workbooks for education for little ones and homework done right after school so it’s out of the way! Fun trips during holidays, etc. Basically listening to them and staying involved. Getting involved in crafts, painting, coloring, etc. Teaching the children to share and limited tv and electronics to minimum (unless parents approve).
The most important part about being a nanny...
Growing a relationship together that is always to tell the truth, trust one another, ask for help if needed, please don’t do anything your parents would say “Absolutely NOT”. Being a friend if they need one. Learning to trust each other. Always treat people with kindness!
My experience with special needs children...
My niece has special needs. She’s Autistic, mild CP and mild ADD. She’s 26 and watched her through many phases over the years. I understand the struggles that happen and realize the importance of patience and understanding.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Teaching the infant I nannied for first to eat solids, watch her take her first steps, first time in a pool, etc. it was amazing!
