A little bit about me

I have always loved and valued children. I am told often that I have a special gift for understanding and teaching children. I believe that reading, exploration, and imaginative play should be encouraged whenever possible. I have spent quite a bit of time helping young children learn to read and even worked at a preschool as a volunteer for a year, and loved every minute of it. I am patient and good at remaining calm with children, although I understand the importance of discipline, and strive to keep order in a household by keeping the parent’s house rules a top priority.
I can help with homework, and am also available for tutoring in all subjects through middle school, and can tutor in English/Writing upto college level. My educational background is in both English Literature & Composition, and Family Studies with a focus on youth counseling services. I also speak french, which is something that I love to share with young ones!
