A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Caitlin but I usually go by Cat. I am a registered ABA behavioral therapist, I specialize in early childhood education and interventions and I teach, educate, and redirect behaviors, skillsets, communication, and emotional regulation. I have worked with ages from months old to the elderly and every age in between. I love to approach things learning the preferences and languages that others are most receptive to, to hold trust, empathy, respect, and build connections. I strive to make the most of everyday by being fun, creative, and active, in my roles as a teacher, therapist, and nanny. Outside of my day to day profession, I am an outdoor fanatic, I enjoy cooking, baking, yoga, art projects, playing chess, reading, and journaling. In my personal life I do not smoke, drink, or party. I understand the challenges of managing everyday life especially with gifts of the world and am more than eager and I take initiative to support with light cleaning, chores, or cooking.

I have always had family and friends who have had high support and low support loved ones who communicate and think differently and it is my life calling to figure out the puzzle to understand them, why they behave or communicate the way they do, and build a bridge between allowing them to be themselves and helping their loved ones understand them better and also teaching them how they can also communicate functionally to be understood or emotionally regulate or gain independence in skillsets.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my kids asked me if I could stay with him forever and another one called me neurodivergent and then laughed and said that my brain definitely works and thinks differently than most people just like his does.
